 About Beaver Scouts

Beaver Scouts is the youngest age group in scouting, for both girls and boys between the ages of 6 and 8.

In Beaver Scouts we believe that fun, friendship and adventure are what matter most. Beavers enjoy being creative, playing games, going on visits and discovering the world around them.

A group of Beaver Scouts is called a Colony, and each Colony is split up into smaller groups called Lodges. Beavers play games and do activities at their meetings, and sometimes go on day trips and Beaver Sleepovers.

Beavers have a Beaver Scout Promise:

The Beaver Scout Promise:

I promise to do my best
To be kind and helpful
And to love God.

More information about the Promise and alternatives can be found here.

During their time in the Colony, Beaver Scouts will get a chance to try a wide range of different activities as well as playing lots of games, going on trips, days out, and on sleepovers. Everyone is encouraged to take part in everything, and there are a range of badges and challenge awards that our Beaver Scouts work towards. See what we're doing this term here!

Chief Scout Bronze Award

The highest award in Beaver Scouts is the Chief Scout Bronze award. These represent hard

work and achievement in a number of different areas.

We look forwards to awarding these in the coming year!
